A good crusty jewish rye like the old Augusta ort Imperial rye breads of yesteryear, or the black grainy pumpernickle.. The jewish rye must have caraway seeds . And PLEASE use paper or perforated plastic bags so that the breads retain their crisp crust. Soft, mooshy bread is the pits!

I LOVE your Jewish rye bread!!!! It has the taste, texture, smell and look of the bread that I grew up eating in my home. It is by far one of the healthier for you without the over processing of other breads. Thank you Kovala for making such a delicious old world healthy bread!

If I don't schedule a trip to the store at very same day your delivery truck arrives to stock the shelves, only then can I obtain a wide selection to choose from and if I delay my trip to the store just one day i will find the shelves bare. Your breads are very popular at my "WOODMAN'S" here in Kenosha, Wisconsin! I love your Italian whole grain. The forestman-rye ,and in fact all your rye beards are my favorites. My wife loves all your breads and gives them as gifts to company to take home, they always comment how they enjoyed their giift and ask where we buy the bread. Keep up the good work! PS. If possible could make your supply to my store larger! PSS Could you consider adding PUMPERNICKLE bread?

I was recently in Woodman's in Menomonee Falls and by accident came across your 1/2 loaf of Poppyseed Strudel Bread and decided to buy a loaf. It brought back memories of when I was a kid, my father's step mother (Grandmother I called her) had made a similar (what she called it) Poppyseed Kuchen but it had an icing that covered the top of the bread, (it was so delicious). I am 62 years old and was wondering if icing covering the top of your Poppyseed Strudel bread would be made available. She also made (what she called it) a Nut Kuchen, made with ground walnuts very similar to your Poppyseed Strudel Bread. (Delicious also).

Kevin,

Thank you for the kind words!

We do offer a very similar product with icing on top. It is called Poppy seed Roll. Check Woodman's and if you don't see it, ask for it! But we most definitely bring it there weekly!

Thank you.

Chris

Just came across your Cranberry-Walnut bread at our Kenosha Woodman's. I'm always on the hunt for "clean" bread for our son. We usually buy sprouted bread, but when your bread caught my eye because it was purple, I was intrigued! We've been a family eating mostly "clean" (organic, non-GMO, notthing processed) for almost 2 years and this was a fun try it out kind of a thing. I confess I had to try some. It is delicious!!! I bought it due to it's ingredients, although not organic and probably made with "Franken-wheat", the ingredients are simple, no added preservatives or chemicals! Bravo!! And Thank you!!!

I really love the rye cranberry walnut bread. It is just plain delicious! I am SO disappointed - I used to be able to buy it at my neighborhood grocery store but they never have it any more. Luckily when I was buying it regularly I took a product picture. Came across it today which led me to your site. I've printed the locations and I will be on the hunt!!!

Hi, Recently found your Farmers Rye at Tony's Finer Foods in Hanover Park. Best Rye we've eaten this side of the Atlantic.

Am working on getting one or 2 stores in the area of Rt64 and Randall Rd to carry this. When you have a new distributor, do you do in-store samples?

Do you make a sourdough rye bread with caraway seeds?

I love your rye bread that I get at Tony's on Belmont (formerly A&G), but really miss the sourdough taste.

Would love to have the sourdough rye with seeds available. Such good memories of it made into ham sandwiches at my grandmother's house!

Thank you,
Sarah Park

I bought Whole Wheat yesterday at Karl's Country Market in Menomonee Falls, WI. It was the last loaf and the first time I've tried it. Best bread ever! Hope to find it again and perhaps in some Milwaukee stores. What about Outpost in Wauwatosa? That would be a great place to stock it?

Hi, in November I was visiting my sister in Bloomingdale and ran into your bread at Caputo's on Lake Street in Bloomingdale. I think the name of it was "Chris' Dark Rye". It is not on your website. It is the best bread I've ever had. I went back and bought the other loaf they had. I went back during Christmas but they didn't have it. I bought a couple loaves the the Starogdansky instead. But I'd really like to get some more of the other one. Can you help?

Purchased your cranberry walnut bread at one of the deli's near lagrange. Outstanding bread. We schedule our visit to the store about when the delivery arrives, so we don't miss out.

Thank You

Love your sunflower bread I happened upon at Eurofresh in Palatine. So you sell it anywhere near the South Loop, Chicago?

Your sunflower seed rye is my favorite. I never want to be without it. I get it at Oakton Market in Skokie. It goes fast! Maybe you could start to deliver more loaves? What are your delivery days to Oakton Market?

Hands down the Multigrain/7 Seed bread makes the best toast in the whole world! We're able to purchase Kovala breads in WI (burbs west of MKE) at Woodmans Markets - hallelujah. If I'm visiting CHI, I can always find it at Gene's in Lincoln Square, too. The best.

Your whole wheat loaf is my favorite. Why? It makes the roughest, seediest, grainiest toast ever. The seeds and grains pop in your mouth like fruit! I'm delighted to have you at Woodman's in Buffalo Grove, IL.
